My husband and I have been on the hunt for the perfect private waterfront site for years and this is certainly the one! The spot is very clean and plenty of room to bring friends, water is calm enough to swim in and kayaks are provided, we saw so much wildlife, the sunsets are outstanding, and Elizabeth and Brandon were so kind and helpful. We can’t wait to book another trip there, it’s truly a peaceful place to be.

We loved our stay on this farm. The land was really beautiful and the sites were well maintained. Cow corner had two horse staying right next it so it was fun to have them as neighbors. Karen was also very responsive and was willing to help with anything we needed. We’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

3rd stay. Memorial weekend to kick off the summer. Ben had a little hut stocked with wood to use with a small $ donation box it even had a QR code for ease. Great little slice of heaven!

Weekend Trip to Alpaca Farm

Phil and his lovely wife were very welcoming. It's a really quiet place and the alpacas are so friendly, Val the lama is so curious and smart. We've learned a lot and you can feel that Phil is passionate by his alpagas. I've bought some very nice things in their shop.

Randy is the best! Accommodated my last second booking and the spot was gorgeous. Close enough to civilization where the travel is easy but secluded and quiet. Arrived close to dusk and Randy had generously prepared the fire pit which was so appreciated! Great location, beautiful land and cool stuff to do nearby

It was great camping in the pasture. The sheep dogs are very friendly and well behaved. They really do snuggle up and love a good game of fetch. The alpaca, donkey, horse, and sheep are friendly too and great for entertaining kids. We will definitely return.

This was the perfect tent camping spot for us and our little old dog! The scenery is beautiful and it's super cool how each camping site has it's own unique qualities. Everything we needed was there, firewood, a cute little outhouse, a cooking grate for the grill, trees for the hammock, and a lovely little bubbling brook. We had the best time, will absolutely think about coming back. Scott was also super nice and greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Weekend Trip to Happy Heart Highlands and Alpacas

Absolutely wonderful stay. Easy access, right next to the alpacas. Good electric/water access. Very nice little fridge with fresh eggs, farm raised beef, and some other goodies with a cash box. Kimberly even offers a farm tour where you get to feed the cows and alpacas. There are also some roaming cats that are very friendly. The location is very quiet and relaxing. Probably not appropriate for a very large rig, and the parking is dirt so it may get messy in heavy rain.

Site 1 is gorgeous. Looks over a really pretty meadow. Hosts are super nice and accommodating. Brewery has great beer and food. Shower and toilets were very clean and ready to use

Weekend Trip to Fawn View Farm, Pond & Fields

Lovely place to enjoy memorial day. We caught so many fish and enjoyed time on the boats. Great place to go and get away. The host was so responsive and helpful.

Weekend Trip to HUNTER'S PARK BY WASHINGTON, DC

It’s a nice spot that we will come to again. The land is cleared but also good tree coverage. Small creek next to the site provides nice sound and kids can play as well. Playset and trampoline also good for entertaining. You can walk property to see horses, chickens and a peacock. Keith stopped by to say hi and check in as well. Highly recommend.

Camps at Evensong Farm

Evensong Farm is a preserved historic farm adjacent to the Antietam National Battlefield. We have set up two, almost identical, sites on a 60 acre parcel of our farm which is very private for our campers, but allows access to the lovely Antietam Creek. The sites themselves are about 500 feet apart so, while they maintain privacy when booked by different parties, can also be booked together for group stays. We have been hosting campers at our "glampsites" since 2021. Each off-grid site has a 12x16 platform with a 10x12 canvas side wall tent, a firepit and chairs, a cooking area with a grill and sink for washing up, a picnic table and benches, and a private bathroom with a composting toilet and solar shower bag. The main tent is set up for 2 people, although 4 is possible. The sites can handle a max of 12 people, with the use of additional tents (BYO or you can set up some of ours). We provide an electronic camp guide to all of our campers that include our recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as camping tips and other handy info. Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed, side tables, and a cafe table and chair set. We have put down foam flooring and a carpet for your comfort and provide numerous battery powered lights, lanterns and fans. In cold months we can add a propane heater to keep the chill away. We also have some games, maps of the area, decks of cards, and a fire extinguisher. Stepping outside the tent you'll find our long rainfly creates a covered porch where you can relax on our provided chairs. There are additional chairs around the firepit and each firepit has a cooking grate so you can cook over your campfire. We provide one bundle of firewood (including kindling) per night with your reservation. We do sell additional firewood, if needed. In our kitchen area you will find a picnic table and chairs, 5 gallons of drinking water, a clean up table that includes a foot operated pump sink with an additional 5 gallons of washing water, a grill (one site has propane and the other has charcoal), trash and recycling bins, grill tools, lighters, plus dish and hand soaps. Our farm is a mile and a half from the town of Sharpsburg, MD, home of the Antietam National Battlefield (and Nutter's Ice Cream Shop). You will find the Appalachian Trail to our east and the C&O Canal to our west (10 minute drive to either).

If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. -This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. -There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Please note the farm entrance address is 11935 Simpsons Mill Road, Keymar, MD, but the farm is technically located in Union Bridge. Enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and relax near the campfire with your wood fired dinner. This site has electric and water hookup and firewood is available for a small fee. The campsite is situated at the highest point of Willows Farm, offering tranquil farm views, gorgeous mountain vistas and spectacular sunsets. Soak up the beautiful countryside during your stay on the farm and hike our 25 acres of wooded property and chase a few bunnies and spot a herd of deer. Take a brisk walk to the cattle pastures and chat with our curious and friendly Black Angus heifers, Eleni, Lola and Maggie and say hi to our horse Albe. All of the fencing at Willows Farm is electric to keep our cattle and horse in and you will get shocked if you touch it. Please be mindful of this with your pets and children. If you are fortunate enough to have the timing right, you can even watch an airplane take off and land on our farm grass strip — "Willows Landing", which is just to the north (cardinal direction) of the campsite. Just 30 minutes to Gettysburg battlefields, historical downtown Frederick, and many other exciting places for exploration, Willows Farm is a great location for fun! Spend an evening watching Bull riding and barrel racing at J Bar W Ranch just a few minutes down the street in Johnsville. If vineyards and breweries are your thing we are just 15 - 30 minutes from many fine establishments. A few of our favorites are Black Ankle Vineyards, Linganore Winecellars and Attaboy Beer. Antique shopping abounds in the nearby charming, little town of New Market. So you're hungry and have a hankering for local cuisine? Take a five minute drive to the quaint downtown of Union Bridge and visit one of the three delicious family run restaurants. Peaceful camping with privacy on a 160-acre historic farm! Minutes from Harpers Ferry, Antietam Battlefield and the C&O Canal to name a few. We are within an hour of Gettysburg and within an hour and a half of DC if you're planning a day trip. We have a prime central location with close access to so many things to do. This beautiful property is nestled in a valley between Elk Ridge and South Mountain with incredible sunrises, sunsets and starlit night skies. Walk out to the fishing pond, or follow the trails around the pastures to meet the cattle grazing. We have Scottish Highlands and Black Angus grazing as well as Alpacas. We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable.

About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.
